Alaska Requirement Detail for Real Estate Continuing Education
Continuing Education and License Renewal Date: 1/31 of every even-numbered year
Hours Required by the State: 20 hours
The CE Shop’s Offering:
Reporting: The state does not require schools to report CE hours.
Max Hours Per Day: Alaska real estate licensees are only allowed to complete a total of 10 course hours in a 24-hour period.
Expiration Date of Course: Course expiration dates vary by course but are generally one year after order date.Each course has an individual expiration date which is listed in your account.
Final Exams: Final exams must be passed with a 70% and may be taken as many times as necessary in order to pass.
Certificates: Upon completion of the course, The CE Shop will provide you with an electronic Certificate of Completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies. Please refer to your license renewal application to determine if you need to submit your Certificate of Completion with your license renewal request. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date of your Certificate of Completion will reflect this.

License Renewal Process: The process to renew in this state is to log in to the licensing system online and follow the prompts to renew. https://www.commerce.state.ak.us/occ/olr/Start.cfm?CFID=1067102&CFTOKEN=42120999
Post Licensing: All new licensees are required to complete a total of 50 hours for their first renewal; comprised of 30 hours of post-licensing education which must be completed within one year of being licensed and 20 hours of continuing education which must be completed prior to the first license renewal. The CE Shop does not offer these Post-Licensing courses at this time.
