What is a hybrid class? A hybrid class combines classroom learning with an online text book and is approved by DBPR. In this hybrid course, all material is completed in the classroom using the latest version of the online text book which reduces the amount of time required in a traditional, face-to-face classroom setting. Students benefit from the quality instruction and flexibility of gaining all the education without all 63 hours required in the classroom version and the end of course exam is taken online at the student’s discretion. The student has one year to complete the end of course exam from the start of the course. |
How does a hybrid class work?
In a hybrid class, all students attend a traditional classroom setting, consisting of 4 to 6 hour lecture sessions with Q & A time. All course concepts can be realistically taught within the classroom time allotted. Additional studying can be completed outside of the classroom. Students will have 24/7 access with the instructor through personal cell, text or email when not in class. Students may collaborate with each other, ask questions, and interact with their peers and instructor in a traditional classroom setting. In addition, an exam prep class is offered to aid in preparing the student for both the end of course exam and the state exam. Other study aids are supplied as well and are included in the price of the course. |
Why take a hybrid class?
Students can benefit from hybrid classes in a variety of ways.
